A missionary story that will challenge and inspire you.
In 1961, Ivan and Doris, against the backdrop of a newspaper article that had set Ivan's heart aflame, faced the daunting prospect of reaching an isolated tribe in the depths of Suriname—a people untouched by the Gospel and thought to be hostile.
Joined initially by four other families, Ivan began by constructing airstrips and establishing jungle homes for missionaries, and Doris helped with the medical work. Ivan's hands were meant for building, but God's plan for this family reached far beyond the foundations of physical structures.
